Dry Eye Diseases Evaluation and Treatment

Bass Eye Care

Envision is the new in-office standard revolutionizing procedures in delicate areas. This ground breaking, nonsurgical device, deploys multiple programmable modalities which work synergistically to deliver precision treatments:

  • Forma-I: bipolar radiofrequency (RF)
  • Lumecca-I: intense pulsed light (IPL)
  • Morpheus8: minimally invasive fractional technology

Envision’s small-size applicators and precise depth control allow for safe and highly efficacious procedures in the small, more delicate subdermal layers of the periorbital region. With Envision, practitioners deliver non-drug therapies to improve patient quality of life.

FORMA I

Precision Tissue Treatments

Forma-I is Health Canada certified to address the symptoms of dry eye disease caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). It is intended for use in the periorbital area and eyelids and relieves inflammation of meibomian glands and eye irritation*. Forma-I is FDA cleared for the temporary improvement of local blood circulation. Forma-I is an innovative thermal technology designed to deliver targeted bipolar radiofrequency energy to small delicate zones. The compact size reaches optimal treatment temperatures up to 43°C, providing comfortable, precise, and uniform volumetric deep heating. Designed with unprecedented safety, the small-size applicator, precision RF depth control, and intelligent epidermal monitoring with continuous feedback, ensure Forma-I is a safe non-drug alternative.

LUMECCA I

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Lumecca is FDA cleared for the treatment of benign pigmented epidermal lesions and benign cutaneous vascular lesions. Lumecca, with the Lumecca-I adaptor, delivers precise, targeted, spot-size IPL procedures to treat inflammatory conditions in smaller zones. Optimized for skin tones I-IV, Lumecca was developed with an advanced xenon flash lamp producing 40% of total pulse energy in the 500-600 nm range. IPL energy penetrates the skin and is selectively absorbed by lesion chromophores (melanin or hemoglobin). The absorbed energy is converted into heat, selectively coagulating the lesions, which fade a few weeks following the treatment. Increasingly, IPL has been shown in clinical studies to have a positive effect on patients with MGD and dry eyes.

MORPHEUS8

Modular Fractional Portfolio Of Tips

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive fractional technology for dermatological and general surgical procedures for electrocoagulation and hemostasis. It is a clinically proven fractional technology designed to treat tissue. RF energy is delivered to multiple treatment depths through bipolar arrays of microneedles and results in localized heating and coagulation of tissue. Fractional coagulation promotes collagen production, while untreated tissue between the pins promotes faster healing. Morpheus8 has an interchangeable portfolio of microneedling tips with different pin configurations (Prime 12 pin, Resurfacing 24 pin, and Subdermal 24 pin), providing physicians with a modular solution.
